To be a member of the phlebotomy team providing a patient friendly service to the hospital wards, outpatient clinics and GP Surgeries as required over a 7-day week between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 Phlebotomists will be expected to provide a helpful and professional service to patients and healthcare staff within the Trust and primary care. Shifts start at 07:00 or 07:30am.

• To be physically able to undertake the following requirements of the role -
• standing, sitting, stretching or reaching to take bloods
• Raising and lowering phlebotomy chairs and patient beds
• Walking between wards and department whilst pushing trolley

We provide a Phlebotomy service across all our sites caring for patients on our wards those that attend our outpatients services and in several outlying GP Surgeries. Having a blood test done is often an essential step in a patients diagnosis or treatment and the care we give makes a real difference to this journey.
