Crynodeb
Humly is working in partnership with a secondary school in Barnoldswick to recruit a full-time Food Technology Teacher for an ASAP start, continuing until July 2026.
This role will involve teaching Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school is seeking a confident and enthusiastic practitioner who can deliver engaging practical lessons, promote high standards of health and safety, and support pupils’ progress within the subject.
This is a long-term role and will be paid to scale under AWR from day one.
What You’ll Be Doing
Teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
Planning and delivering practical and theory-based lessons
Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed in practical settings
Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
Managing classroom behaviour effectively
Working collaboratively with the wider department and staff team
What You’ll Bring
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
Strong understanding of health and safety in practical lessons
Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
A flexible, professional and proactive approach
Pay Structure
From £168.80 per day
(AWR applied from day one – M1–M6 depending on experience)
