Summary




An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Medical Devices Engineer to join our dedicated team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) as we embark on a transformative journey to implement a unified Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system across Essex.

As part of the EPR programme, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, effective, and reliable integration of medical devices into our digital health ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of modernising healthcare delivery, working across multidisciplinary teams in a role that directly impacts patient care. We’re looking for someone with a strong technical background in medical devices, ideally with experience in hospital-based device management or connectivity projects.



An integral element of the role, will be your flexibility to work across a multitude of different sites across Essex and into parts of Bedfordshire. In addition, there will be a requirement to join both virtual and face to face meetings and deliver updates when required.



Communication -Build and sustain effective communications with other individuals or teams involved in the NOVA project, whilst working closely with clinical staff and site teams on a regular basis.



Analytical and Planning - Establish and maintain strategic links with a range of external partners/stakeholders or manage the links made through the team.



Policy and Service Development -Proactively and positively contribute to the achievement of deliverables through individual and team effort.



Financial and Physical Resources -Ensure that resources are used effectively and in accordance with agreed procedures.



Information Resources -Dissemination of knowledge, taking full responsibility for technical accuracy and reliability and being sensitive to the wider implications of that dissemination.

Physical Skills -Highly developed physical skills, accuracy important; manipulation offine tools, materials. Dexterity, co-ordination & sensory skills for use of precision tools, maintaining delicate equipment

Collaborate with clinical, IT, and EPR programme teams to ensure successful integration. Support data migration, interface configuration, and troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with NHS policies, clinical safety standards, and information governance protocols



Policy and Service Development -Proactively and positively contribute to the achievement of deliverables through individual and team effort.

Maintain and continuously improve specialist knowledge in an aspect of Health Service which significantly contributes to the Trust’s stated objectives & aims. Undertake evidence-based practice for either developments relating to Trust work or opportunities for Trust involvement around health issues.
