As a Security Officer with ISS, you will proactively perform security duties to prevent and deter risks to our client and its employees. You will foster a healthy and safe culture, report all near-miss health and safety incidents, and ensure best practices are followed.

The Role
Project Support - Security Officer (minimum 36 hours per week/permanent role)
Collaborate with the integrated team to deliver excellent experiences for staff and visitors.
Monitor front-of-house entrances and reception areas to identify unusual behaviour or items.
Respond professionally to all approaches and inquiries
Serve as a Brand Ambassador for ISS, upholding high customer service standards.
Identify and report concerning or atypical behaviour, implementing appropriate interventions per policy.
Respond calmly to challenging situations, prioritizing safety and clear communication.
Patrol high-risk areas and react promptly to incidents to minimise risk and severity.
Demonstrate outstanding customer service and client focus.
Work collaboratively across the business to deliver integrated, intelligent solutions.
Ensure compliance with recycling and sustainability initiatives.
Act as a first responder to First Aid requests, providing appropriate support.
Support the Front of House team during peak periods.
Maintain accurate, legible, and complete records in line with policy and guidelines.
Escort contractors, staff, and visitors as needed to maintain site integrity and security.
Challenge and manage unauthorized access attempts professionally and proportionately.
Control and monitor access to the site, buildings, and restricted areas per procedures.
Conduct regular internal and external patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify issues.
Check doors, alarms, fire exits, plant rooms, and sensitive areas for security and compliance.
Report defects, hazards, or vulnerabilities promptly.
Respond effectively to security incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns.
Provide a welcoming yet security-focused front-of-house presence.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with all stakeholders.
Follow all site-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Assignment Instructions (AIs), and post orders.
Escalate incidents, risks, or breaches according to escalation protocols.
Liaise with control rooms, supervisors, emergency services, and client representatives as required.
Wear the issued uniform and identification, maintaining a professional appearance.
Contribute to continuous improvement by reporting concerns, near misses, and procedural gaps.
About You
Valid SIA licence
Previous operational experience in a customer-facing environment.
Discretion and professionalism.

Solid understanding of IT systems.
