Summary
GCIL.AJP/LD/1.26 Personal Assistant for A-J
A-J is a young person with mild Autism living in the Robroyston area of Glasgow. She is looking for a Personal Assistant to support her to participate in social and leisure activities.
The activities A-J enjoys include going out for meals and shopping, watching films in the cinema and meeting up with her friends. As her PA, you would be expected to help organise these outings as well as accompany her and ensuring her safe travel. Occasionally, this will also include some nights out and concerts, so it’s important that you have a flexible schedule. A-J has also been going to the gym, attending exercise classes and going swimming which she would like to have support to go to.
A-J requires a PA who is able to offer emotional support where required and overall be a friendly companion to her. If you’re motivated to get to know a bright and lively young woman and put the effort in to form a connection, then this might be the role for you! It is preferred that you have a driver’s license and your own car – however this is not essential, and your expenses would be covered.
This role is for up to 15 hours per week on negotiable days which may occasionally change depending on need. The rate of pay is £13.60 per hour. If interested, please apply by submitting your CV to par@gcil.org.uk quoting ref. AJP/LD/1.26 in the subject line and body of the email. If you have any questions, please contact GCIL on 0141 550 4455.
