Your new company
We are a nationally recognised public sector organisation with a long-standing commitment to improving lives through education, innovation and community impact. As we continue our journey of digital and organisational transformation, data has become the backbone of how we understand our audiences, deliver services and make informed decisions. We are entering a pivotal phase: stabilising and preparing for the safe retirement of a legacy CRM system while embedding new data standards, governance and trust across the organisation. To do this well, we need a clear, evidence‑based understanding of how our data is used today, and that's where you come in. This is a rare opportunity to shape the foundations of a long‑term data strategy, reduce organisational risk and ensure our data is accurate, transparent and ready for the future.
Your new role
This is not just another data contract. It's a chance to influence the organisation's data maturity at a critical moment. You'll take ownership of deep‑dive analysis across our legacy CRM and related systems, uncovering how data truly flows, where quality issues lie, and what risks must be addressed before transition. Your insights will directly inform stabilisation plans, decommissioning decisions and the design of future data standards. You'll work closely with technical analysts, architects, data engineers and transition managers, acting as the analytical heartbeat of the programme. From data exploration and profiling to building dashboards, documenting findings and supporting governance, you'll ensure our data is reliable, understood and ready for what comes next. Your work will preserve organisational knowledge, reduce risk and lay the groundwork for a safer, smarter data future.
What you'll need to succeed
You are a data specialist with a sharp analytical mind and a passion for clarity. You've worked with complex systems, ideally CRM platforms, and you're comfortable extracting, interrogating and interpreting data using SQL, Excel and Power BI. You know how to spot anomalies, duplicates, inconsistencies and gaps, and you understand the business impact of poor data quality. You've contributed to data‑led transitions, migrations or decommissioning efforts, and you're familiar with data governance, metadata, data quality frameworks and GDPR considerations. You can translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non‑technical audiences. You're collaborative, curious and meticulous, with a strong sense of ownership and a commitment to high standards. This isn't your first data deep‑dive, and it shows.
What you'll get in return
This is a contract with purpose. Alongside a competitive daily rate, you'll gain exposure to strategic decision‑making, complex data challenges and the opportunity to shape the foundations of a long‑term data strategy. You'll join a forward‑thinking organisation that values expertise, innovation and collaboration, and your work will directly influence how we manage, trust and use data for years to come.
