What will the Senior Client Manager role involve?
• Leading and managing a portfolio of diverse small business clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies
• Overseeing a small team of accountants, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and ensuring all statutory deadlines are met
• Preparing and reviewing accounts, tax returns, and bookkeeping work, maintaining high standards and accuracy
• Engaging directly with clients, advising on tax efficiency, cash flow, budgeting, and business growth strategies
• Onboarding new clients and integrating them seamlessly into the services offered
• Supporting management with team performance monitoring and client fee reviews
• Acting as a liaison with HMRC and Companies House to resolve queries, ensuring compliance and client satisfaction
• Leading by example to reinforce company values and foster a collaborative workplace culture
Suitable Candidate for the Senior Client Manager vacancy:
• Fully qualified member of a Chartered Professional Body (ACCA or equivalent) with at least 5 years’ experience in practice
• Proven expertise managing a varied client portfolio including accounts preparation, tax returns, and advisory work
• Comfortable using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, DEXT, and FreeAgent
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and taxation, with the ability to simplify complex information for clients
• Excellent time management, prioritisation skills, and attention to detail under tight deadlines
• Confident, personable communicator able to build trusted relationships internally and externally
• Motivated by continuous professional development and eager to lead a dynamic, client-focused team
