The Role:We are looking for highly skilled Shuttering Joiners to join a structural civil engineering project in Bishop Auckland. The work involves high-spec concrete works, including retaining walls, foundations, and structural slabs.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced joiner to secure a solid run of well-paid work on a professionally managed site.
Key Responsibilities:-
Formwork Systems: Setting up and striking various formwork systems (e.g., PERI, Doka, or traditional timber shutters).

Structural Pours: Constructing formwork for retaining walls, abutments, and reinforced concrete slabs.

Bolt Boxes: Setting out and fixing high-precision bolt boxes and hardware for steelwork connections.

Collaboration: Working closely with steel fixers and concrete gangs to ensure the integrity of the structures before and during pours.

Drawing Interpretation: Reading and working from technical structural drawings and site plans.

Valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker in Formwork/Shuttering Joinery preferred).

Essential: Proven experience in heavy civil engineering or structural concrete projects.

Tools: Full set of own tools for shuttering/formwork.

Safety: Valid Safety Critical Medical (advantageous).

Reliability: Strong track record of attendance and a high standard of finish.

Highly Competitive Rate: £25.00 per hour (CIS).

Local Work: Ideal for operatives based in County Durham or the wider North East.

Stable Contract: 2 months of consistent work with potential for extension on future phases.
