Position: School Site Manager
Location: Dudley
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (covering long-term sickness)
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, Split Shift: 7:00am – 10:30am & 2:00pm – 6:00pm
Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and dependable Site Manager to join a school in the Dudley area. This hands-on role is vital to ensuring the smooth running, safety, and general maintenance of the school site. The ideal candidate will have strong practical skills, excellent organisation, and a commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for staff and pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and security of the school site.
• Carry out minor repairs, general DIY tasks, and gritting when required.
• Manage and monitor Health & Safety compliance, including fire alarm testing, Legionella checks, and risk assessments.
• Ensure the site is clean, safe, and fully operational.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers as necessary.
• Support school events with setup and site logistics.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and compliance activities.
Key Requirements:
• Previous experience as a School Caretaker or Site Manager.
• Strong maintenance and practical DIY skills.
• Good understanding of compliance and Health & Safety regulations (e.g., Fire Safety, Legionella).
• Organised, reliable, and able to manage workload independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must hold a current Enhanced DBS and be available to start immediately.
