Job title - QS Manager

Duration - 12 months initial contract Umbrella

Start date - ASAP

Shift patterns - Mon-Fri 37.5hours per week (Fully on site)

Pay rate - DOE

Location - Combination of Sellafield and some Whitehaven office

Role Overview


We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveying Manager to lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors working across multiple projects within a £45-£50m framework at Sellafield. The successful candidate will play a key role in commercial management, ensuring robust cost control, contractual compliance, and effective team leadership while reporting directly to the Commercial Lead.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors across several framework projects
* Provide commercial oversight and governance in line with NEC4 contract requirements
* Manage cost planning, forecasting, reporting, and commercial risk across projects
* Administer and manage NEC4 contracts, with experience on all Options.
* Support the Commercial Lead with strategic commercial input and decision-making
* Ensure compliance with framework, client, and organisational commercial procedures
* Attend and contribute to commercial and project meetings with internal and external stakeholders
* Promote best practice, consistency, and continuous improvement across the QS team

Essential Experience & Qualifications
* Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying Manager or Senior QS role
* Demonstrable experience working on projects within large, multi-project frameworks (c. £45m-£50m or similar)
* Strong working knowledge of NEC4 contracts, specifically Option A (Lump Sum) and Option C (Target Cost)
* Previous experience working at Sellafield (essential)
* Valid Sellafield P4 pass (essential) and prepared to work in the office (some flexibility)
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail

Desirable
* Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent)
* Experience within nuclear or highly regulated environments
* Strong systems and reporting capability
