Kitchen Assistant / Domestic Assistant (Bank)

Abbeyfield The Dales is a not-for-profit care charity with one mission: Making Time for Older People. We provide a supportive, family-feel working environment guided by our values of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Openness.
We are looking for reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistants and Domestic Assistants to join our team on a bank basis, supporting our service as and when required. This role is ideal for those seeking flexible work and the opportunity to pick up shifts to suit their availability.
Hours:
Bank / zero-hours
Shifts offered as and when required, including weekdays and weekends
Key Duties – Kitchen Assistant:
Assist with food preparation and serving meals
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene in kitchen areas
Support with washing up and safe storage of food and equipment
Follow health & safety and food safety guidelines at all times
Key Duties – Domestic Assistant:
Clean and maintain communal areas and residents’ rooms
Support with laundry duties as required
Ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residents and visitors
Follow infection control and health & safety procedures
About You:
Reliable, caring and respectful
Able to work flexibly and at short notice when required
Good attention to detail
Good spoken English
Right to work in the UK and able to commute reliably
