Your new company
You will be joining an established and well-respected Tier 1 contractor operating within the water industry. This multi-accredited and high-profile contractor delivers large-scale clean and waste water capital programmes for Anglian Water and offers a strong pipeline of AMP8 works as well as excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are actively seeking a Temporary Works Manager to join their delivery team in Colchester.
Your new role
As a Temporary Works Manager, you'll take full ownership of temporary works planning from initiation to completion. You'll conduct Category 1, 2 and 3 checks on temporary works for Anglian Water and subcontractor sites, develop Category 0 Standard Solutions and ensure compliance with BS5975:2024 and Anglian Water procedures.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and checking temporary works designs
- Driving best practices across the water division through the Temporary Works Working Group
- Providing technical support and advice to design and delivery teams
- Undertaking audits and supporting permits and third-party requirements
- Leading health and safety initiatives and embracing innovation in project delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will bring:
- Proven experience in temporary works management within water infrastructure
- Strong understanding of BS5975:2024 and temporary works design principles
- Excellent communication skills to engage clients and project teams
- Visible leadership in health and safety and a proactive approach to innovation
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
- Full UK driving licence.
