Summary

Mobile Multiskilled Engineer

Location: Sussex

Are you a skilled engineer looking for a varied and rewarding role where every day brings a new challenge? We're seeking a Mobile Multiskilled Engineer to join our team, providing high‑quality mechanical and electrical maintenance across multiple sites.

This position is essential in ensuring safe, efficient and compliant building operations, and would suit someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working independently, and taking pride in delivering excellent service.

About the Role

As a Mobile Multiskilled Engineer, you'll carry out a mix of planned preventative maintenance and reactive tasks across a wide range of building services equipment. Your work will help maintain operational continuity for our clients, ensuring systems remain safe, functional and compliant.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Completing PPM tasks in line with site schedules and CAFM requirements
  • Responding quickly and effectively to reactive maintenance requests
  • Diagnosing and rectifying faults across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ensuring all documentation, reports and compliance records are completed accurately
  • Working safely and following all Method Statements and Risk Assessments
  • Maintaining plant rooms to a high standard
  • Supporting subcontractors while on site
  • Participating in an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota
  • Upholding the professional image of the business at all times

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a reliable, competent engineer who can work independently, within a team, or oversee subcontractors when needed. You'll be someone who communicates well with clients, produces clear and high‑quality reports, and confidently represents the business.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

Electrical:

  • C&G Part A and B, C&G 236 (Pt 1 & 2), C&G 2330 (Level 2 & 3), AM1 & AM2, or C&G 2360
  • 18th Edition (C&G 2382-18)
  • C&G 2391 or 2394/2395
  • Experience in periodic inspection, testing and certification (NICEIC competency)

Mechanical:

  • BTEC Level 3 Mechanical Engineering / HVAC
  • C&G 6188 (Level 2) or C&G 7188 (Level 3)
  • Competent Person (Mechanical/Pressure Systems)
  • Plumbing maintenance and fault‑finding experience
  • EUSR National Water Hygiene Card
