Customs Administrative AssistantHarwichMon-Fr 37.5 hours per week
What will you be doing?
- Onboarding and looking after new customers who have a shipment booked with DSV.
- Communicating via emails and phone calls & offering a good customer service.
- Ensuring Direct Representation agreements are accurately completed, signed, and valid prior to submitting customs declarations.
- Creating customer profiles on our system where customs declarations are submitted.
- Requesting debtor accounts for new customers to ensure that they can be billed for customs charges.
- Running reports in Microsoft Excel.
- Monitoring & also manually raising VAT&DUTY invoices to make sure they are created and sent to customers in a timely manner.About You
- Experience in Microsoft programmes such as Outlook & Excel.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Entry level knowledge of customs and a will to learn about the industry.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and well-organised.
- Ability to learn new systems and software quickly.
