We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Front Line Manager (FLM) to lead and support our domestic services team in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
This role ensures high standards of cleanliness across hospital and associated areas while complying with health, safety, and infection control policies.
Job Description
As a Domestic FLM, you will supervise and coordinate domestic staff, ensuring all cleaning and hygiene standards are met within designated areas.
You will manage resources, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with company and Trust policies. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate and support your team to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, train, and motivate domestic staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Organise and allocate staff duties according to work schedules and specifications.
Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with health, safety, and infection control policies.
Maintain accurate records for sickness, training, and performance monitoring.
Order, control, and issue uniforms, equipment, and cleaning materials.
Ensure safe storage and maintenance of stock and supplies.
Manage waste removal in line with company and Trust procedures.
Conduct team meetings, performance reviews, and return-to-work discussions.
Report faults or defects in equipment or premises promptly.
Participate in staff development and training activities.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Knowledge of health, safety, and infection control standards.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Competent in record-keeping and monitoring staff performance.
Willingness to work in environments with unpleasant conditions.
Flexibility to respond to service needs and adapt to changing priorities.
Previous supervisory experience is not required.
