Candidates must possess the necessary right to work authorisation to enable them to work for Chesterfield Borough Council. Regrettably, we are unable to provide sponsorship or assume sponsorship of an employment visa at this juncture.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Chesterfield Borough Council as we recruit four full time assistant environmental services officers on a seasonal basis for 26 weeks and two part time assistant environmental services officers for a fixed term period of up to 2 years.
Full time seasonal vacancy:
The successful candidates will play a key role in maintaining and improving the borough’s public spaces. Duties will include the maintenance and cleaning of parks, play areas, landscaped areas, open spaces, verges, footpaths, and the public highway, making a proactive and positive contribution to the overall development, commercialisation, and reputation of the service.
Part time fixed term vacancy:
The successful candidates will undertake a varied range of duties, with a particular focus on the maintenance and cleansing of Chesterfield town centre. You will play a key role in ensuring our streets are kept clean, safe, and tidy, while delivering high standards of customer service to all members of the community we serve.
For all vacancies, you will be required to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis, therefore flexibility to meet the needs of the service is essential.
This role will involve driving council vehicles, so a full driving licence is essential.
