Crynodeb
Ensure accurate assessment of patient care needs, development of care plans, implementing and evaluating care based on the patient needs. Maintain accurate nursing records, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and promptly. Administer medications as described by local policy and in line with NMC standards for medicines management. Utilise computer systems and monitoring equipment on a daily basis undertake and record patient observations. Work at all times in accordance with NMC Code; working independently/autonomously and at times without direct supervision. Be accountable for own professional actions and those delegated to others. Achieve and maintain competency in identified mandatory and statutory training. Respond to patients, relatives and carers concerns as they arise and take remedial action as required. Take charge of the practice setting as required. Assume responsibility for undertaking tasks delegated by the nominated line/shift co-ordinator. Contribute to the development of service and quality improvements to enhance patient experience and ensure standards of care are monitored and maintained. Delegate appropriately to and supervisor the work of other staff both registered, unregistered and students. Assist with the induction and orientation of new members of the team. Handle cash, valuables and maintain stock control in the area of work.
