About the Role:

We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant with strong experience in phonics delivery, particularly Read Write Inc (RWI). This role involves working 1:1 with pupils who require additional support in literacy and language development.

You will play a key role in helping children build confidence and achieve progress in reading and writing. Working closely with the SENDCo and teaching staff, you will deliver structured phonics sessions and adapt learning to meet individual needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver phonics interventions using RWI
  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEND
  • Monitor and record pupil progress
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENDCo to plan strategies
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience teaching phonics (RWI preferred)
  • SEND experience across primary year groups
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire pupils
