Your new company
A leading service-based business in Manchester City Centre is seeking its next Financial Controller to join an established, successful team with a strong cash flow. You will report directly to an impressive and supportive CFO, working within a flexible environment that promotes a healthy work-life balance. Your new role
In this role, you will prepare monthly financial reviews, variance analyses, and commentary for regional and central stakeholders. You will identify risks, opportunities, and trade-offs relative to the plan, supporting decision-making that safeguards long term business performance. Month-end responsibilities include reviewing accruals and conducting balance sheet checks to ensure the integrity of reported results. You will provide analytical reviews and commentary on monthly management accounts against budget, forecast, and prior periods, while ensuring timely completion of daily, weekly, and month-end reporting processes across all operating sites. Additional responsibilities include reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, overseeing financial controls, managing ledgers, cash flow, and payroll.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position, you must be an ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant with strong leadership and team management skills. You will be an excellent communicator who is analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a passion for continuous improvement. Advanced Excel skills and a hands-on approach are essential.
