We are currently seeking an experienced Hair Lecturer to join our team at Peterborough College. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver engaging and impactful lessons to a diverse range of students, including apprentices and Level 1 to Level 3 learners, as well as those studying Barbering.
Role Title: Hair Lecturer
Campus: Peterborough College
Start Date: ASAP (ideally 19th January)
Hours & Timetable:
- Full-time hours: Monday-Thursday: 08:30-17:00, Friday: 08:30-16:30
- Teaching/contact hours: 24 hours per week, with the remaining time dedicated to administration
Levels & Qualifications:
- Hair: Teaching apprentices and Level 3 students
- Mix of Levels: Level 1, 2, 3 & Barbering Level 1-2
- Assessor qualification is mandatory (preferred over teaching qualifications)
- Delivery: A combination of theory and practical sessions
Pay: £35-40 per hour, based on experience
Key Requirements:
- Prior teaching experience, particularly with hairdressing and barbering students
- Assessor qualification is essential
- Strong practical and theoretical knowledge in hairdressing and barbering
- Passion for teaching and helping students reach their full potential
