Job Title: Maintenance Assistant

This client is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of a large commercial building. Working within the response maintenance team, the role involves delivering planned and reactive maintenance while providing a professional, customer-focused service.
Key Responsibilities-
Carry out maintenance, repair, and inspection of building services, fabric, fixtures, and fittings

Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules and training
-
Respond promptly to reactive maintenance and breakdown requests
-
Assist with minor installation, upgrade, and adaptation works
-
Support fault finding on malfunctioning equipment in a safe and logical manner

Operate tools and access equipment safely in line with H&S requirements

Ensure correct use of PPE and adherence to health, safety, and infection control procedures

Maintain accurate job records and complete required paperwork

Liaise with building users to minimise disruption

Work flexibly with colleagues and contractors

Undertake training and on-site risk assessments as required

Experience in a general maintenance environment

Experience in a customer-facing role

Experience in a healthcare or complex environment (desirable)

Knowledge of mechanical systems (DHW, LPHW, CHW) (desirable)

Basic electrical knowledge or qualifications (desirable)

Experience using CAFM systems (desirable)
