Location: Tigers Road, Wigston, Leicester LE18 4TN Salary: £ 26,196.24 per annum plus excellent benefits Schedule: Monday – Friday between the hours of 7am – 6pm (8 hour shifts within this timeframe)

As a Administrator in our J&I team, you will support the Workforce Management Hub. The role provides essential administrative support across three small teams: Workforce Management and Rostering, Absence and Staff Welfare, and Contract Administration.
This is a varied and fast-paced role, requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with staff and management at all levels.


What you’ll do as a Administrator
- Receive and accurately record staff absence calls on a shared in-house system to ensure line managers and senior leaders are kept informed.
- Review and investigate staff absence history, liaising with line managers and senior management to support actions in line with the Serco Absence Policy.
- Prepare a weekly absence overview report for the Assistant Director of Business Services.
- Monitor staff attendance in accordance with AWOL policies.
- Track staff movements to identify and report lateness.
- Provide occasional administrative support to the Workforce Management team, including (but not limited to):
- Processing annual leave requests
- Supporting shift swaps
- Managing and signposting emails from the shared inbox
- Assisting Rostering Coordinators with overtime agreement communications


Does this sound like you?
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Previous experience with accurate data input.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, including email and internal telephone communication.

Vetting and checks:
A Standard DBS check will be carried out for this position. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings as permitted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be completed so we can ensure you have the necessary support to perform your duties.
