You'll be joining an established Tier 1 civil engineering contractor operating within the highways sector. Your new role
As Section Engineer, you will take ownership of a key section of this landmark project. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and mentoring a team of site engineers.
- Providing technical support and guidance to site works and engineers.
- Monitoring, setting out compliance and ensuring quality control.
- Compiling and reviewing work package plans and management documentation.
- Resolving on-site issues promptly and effectively.
- Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety procedures.
- Managing site documentation and liaising with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Participating in project meetings and reporting on progress.
This is a hands-on role where you'll play a critical part in delivering a project that will shape regional infrastructure for years to come.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role, ideally within the highway industry.
- Experience managing one site or a section of a larger site as part of a wider team.
- Basic knowledge of NEC contracts.
- Strong understanding of H&S/CDM legislation.
- SMSTS and First Aid at Work certifications.
- Full UK driving licence.
