KPI Recruiting are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Operative to join a growing and well-established manufacturing business based in Telford (TF7). This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a skilled candidate looking for long-term stability.

Job Overview

As a CNC Operative, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality components to exact specifications. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (milling, turning, and/or grinding)

  
  

• Produce components in line with technical drawings and specifications

  
  

• Monitor machine performance to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety

  
  

• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)

  
  

• Adjust tooling, speeds, and machine settings as required

  
  

• Load machines with correct materials and tooling

  
  

• Carry out routine cleaning and maintenance of CNC machines

  
  

• Troubleshoot machine faults and production issues

  
  

• Maintain accurate machine logs, part counts, and maintenance records

  
  

• Work collaboratively with the wider production team

  
  

• Adhere to all health and safety procedures

  
  Requirements

  • Previous CNC operating experience is essential

    
    

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

    
    

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

    
    

  • Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious
