St Mary’s CofE Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Wrap Around Care Playworker to join our Breakfast and After School Club teams. Your goal will be to create a safe, stimulating, and fun environment where children can learn and play before and after the school day. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to support their social and physical development in a friendly, team-oriented setting. Parents/carers with children at the school are welcome to apply. Job share would be considered for the right candidates. Key ResponsibilitiesActivity Leadership: Plan, prepare, and lead a variety of creative and active play opportunities for children aged 4–11.Child Supervision: Safely escort children to and from classrooms, ensuring accurate attendance registers are kept and handover information is shared with teachers.Snack Time Supervision: Supervise children while they eat snacks provided by their parents/carers, ensuring a safe and social environment with due regard for health and safety.Positive Behaviour: Promote good behaviour and independence, dealing with any conflicts or incidents in line with school policy.Club Logistics: Help set out and pack away play equipment and maintain supplies to ensure the club runs smoothly.Safeguarding: Create a safe environment for the children & contribute to the protection of children by reporting any concerns to the Safeguarding Team.RequirementsExperience: Previous experience working with or caring for children.Skills: Basic literacy and numeracy; ability to relate well to both children and adults.Attributes: Reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic.Desirable: Appropriate knowledge of First Aid.Safeguarding Note: Midsomer Norton Schools’ Partnership is committed to safeguarding children.
