Summary

Job Title: Project Planner – Fixed Contract (c. 30 Weeks)
Location: Site Based – Chester area
Salary: £65,000 – £80,000 per annum
Reports to: Contracts Director

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Planner to join our team on a site-based, fixed-term contract of approximately 30 weeks. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring on a major demolition and deconstruction project. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled planner to contribute to a high-profile project, producing and maintaining NEC4-compliant programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and monitor detailed project programmes from first principles, incorporating three-point estimates, time risk allowances, and risk-adjusted scheduling.


  • Collect, analyse, and report progress information, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.


  • Assist the project team with planning and scheduling matters, attending project meetings with clients, stakeholders, and third parties.


  • Ensure up-to-date programme production throughout the project lifecycle.


  • Apply expertise in industry-standard planning software, including Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project.


  • Contribute to project-level planning on complex construction, demolition, and deconstruction projects.


  • Achieve and maintain site-level security clearance.


    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Construction-related Bachelor’s degree.


    • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB) is desirable.


    • Experience within the Nuclear sector is highly desirable.


    • Proven experience planning and scheduling major demolition or deconstruction projects.


    • Proficient in developing NEC4-compliant programmes and producing risk-adjusted schedules.


    • Valid UK driving license.


      Skills & Competencies:

      • Strong planning and scheduling expertise with the ability to produce and maintain accurate project programmes.


      • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.


      • High proficiency in standard planning software.


      • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
