We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed, dynamic individual to join the departmental Cardiac Rhythm Devices Team
The applicant must currently be working as an expert independent clinical practitioner who provides clinical expertise at an expert specialist level. Candidates will be required to assist the departmental management team in providing strategic management leadership. Applicant’s must have the ability to work under pressure and be able to prioritise their own workload, as well as work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality diagnostic service and educational at both undergraduate and post graduate level.
This position offers excellent developmental opportunities and requires the individual to be a positive driver for change within cardiac diagnostic services at Wythenshawe Hospital.
Provide leadership and development for all practitioners in the Clinical physiology department within the community Diagnostic Centre.
As an expert in the field provide advice to external institutions, inclusive of primary care and all professional bodies within Cardiology.
Exercise initiative and judgement in solving problems and making decisions that affect own areas of work recognising when there is a need to refer problems to Senior Management or Consultant staff.
independently collates complex clinical information from multiple sources to determine optimal procedure methodology
independently selects sets-up & operates complex medical equipment as indicated for each procedure
Independently obtains analyses complex data, performs complex calculations, determines interpretation and independently compiles accurate written complex technical reports for case notes
Communicates independent interpretations of complex technical & physiological data to guide physicians throughout high risk provocative procedures (e.g. during complex device implantation, primary coronary angioplasty, cardiac imaging procedures)

Regularly supervises individuals working/observing in the clinical environment including visitors from other trusts and organisation.
