Group Supplier Lead Auditor

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum
Location: UK – Flexible / Hybrid (ideally central due to travel requirements)
Travel: Regular UK and European travel
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Reporting to: Group Technical Services Director

We are seeking an experienced Group Supplier Lead Auditor to take ownership of supplier auditing and supply chain risk management
across our diverse and international supply base.

The Role

As Group Supplier Lead Auditor, you will be the technical authority for supplier audits across the UK, Europe, and beyond. You
will ensure suppliers consistently meet legal, customer, and TCFG standards while driving continuous improvement in food safety,
quality, integrity, and ethical compliance.




This role offers a high level of autonomy, regular travel, and flexible home-based working for report writing and planning.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan, conduct, and report food safety, quality, and integrity audits across a diverse supplier base, including high-risk and
complex suppliers
* Lead new supplier approval and onboarding audits in line with the group audit schedule
* Assess food fraud vulnerabilities, traceability systems, and product integrity controls
* Review and verify corrective and preventive action plans (CAPAs)
* Support suppliers in improving food safety culture, risk management, and ethical compliance
* Develop and maintain a risk-based group audit schedule
* Communicate audit findings clearly to suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Produce accurate, timely audit reports
* Support internal audits across TCFG manufacturing sites where required
* Support ad hoc technical projects across the group
* Manage your own travel arrangements and work flexibly from home

* Reduced supplier-related complaints and NCRs
* Clear visibility and control of supply chain risks







About You

You’ll be an experienced auditor with strong food safety knowledge and confidence working independently across a wide supplier
network.




Essential:

* Lead Auditor qualification
* HACCP Level 3 (minimum)
* Strong understanding of UK & EU food legislation
* Experience auditing food manufacturers and suppliers
* Knowledge of GFSI certification schemes (e.g. BRCGS)
* Experience with food fraud prevention, vulnerability assessments, and traceability
* Excellent communication, influencing, and report-writing skills
* Willingness to travel regularly in the UK and Europe




Desirable:

* Degree in Food Science or related discipline
* Experience in technical leadership roles or third-party auditing
* Knowledge of ethical sourcing, sustainability, and packaging compliance
