LOCATION: Gloucester (GL4)

HOURS: 30 hours per week | Flexible days Monday–Friday (9am–5pm on working days)

SALARY: £12.60 – £13.30* per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Officer to join our Adults Day Service team in Gloucester. This is a varied, fast-paced administrative role at the heart of a friendly, fun and professional office environment, supporting a passionate team who make a genuine difference every day.

The Role

As a Business Support Officer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our service running smoothly by providing high-quality administrative support and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a high standard of administrative support across the service
  • Manage emails, telephone calls and post, using initiative to prioritise and escalate important matters
  • Support Registered Care Managers and Service Managers with the day-to-day running of the service
  • Assist with recruitment and retention processes, including compliance, absence management, training schedules, annual leave and sickness records
  • Liaise with internal HR consultants on complex or compliance-related matters
  • Maintain accurate records with integrity and confidentiality, producing reports for the Leadership Team
  • Coordinate and plan care reviews, MDTs and internal meetings
  • Input and report on hours delivered by the service
  • Manage stock control and ordering of supplies
  • Maintain and update filing systems, records and procedures
  • Welcome families, carers and visitors, ensuring a positive and friendly first impression
  • Carry out any additional duties reasonably required to support the service

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong administrative experience, ideally within a care or health setting
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • Knowledge of Nourish, RADAR and Tribepad is desirable
  • Confident handling and analysing large data sets, producing clear reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including senior-level communication
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines
  • Discreet and trustworthy, with a high level of confidentiality and initiative
  • A friendly, approachable personality, comfortable in a front-facing office role
  • Flexible, proactive and happy working both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel to other offices when required
