Night Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) – Part-Time

Referral Caseload | Winchester
£30,000+ per annum (pro rata) + £2,000 joining bonus

A leading 24-hour veterinary referral hospital in the Winchester area is currently recruiting a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a highly regarded and supportive nursing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an RVN who enjoys overnight ward-based nursing, working with complex referral cases, and being part of a collaborative, well-structured night service within a specialist environment.

The Opportunity

  • Permanent, part-time night role


  • 32 hours per week


  • Set night pattern including weekday nights, shared midweek rota, and weekend/bank holiday participation


  • Salary competitive DOE (inclusive of enhanced weekend rates)


  • £2,000 welcome bonus

        The Role

        As a Night RVN, you will be primarily based within the hospital wards, delivering exceptional nursing care to in-patients overnight. You will play a vital role in patient recovery, comfort, and monitoring during critical hours.

        Key responsibilities include:

        • High-standard overnight ward nursing


        • Monitoring and supporting post-operative and medical cases


        • Administering medications and pain relief


        • Managing specialised diets and nutritional plans


        • Wound care, catheter and drain management


        • Supporting physiotherapy and rehabilitation plans


        • Providing mental stimulation and comfort to hospitalised patients


        • Working closely with clinicians, anaesthetists, PCAs, twilight teams, and day nursing teams
