About the School

Position Overview

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA) for a long-term role supporting children in Key Stage 1 (KS1). This position suits an experienced Teaching Assistant who can confidently assist with classroom activities independently, while working collaboratively with the class teacher to foster a positive and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

    • Support children in small groups and within the whole-class setting
    • Demonstrate initiative to manage classroom situations independently
    • Work closely with the class teacher to enrich pupils’ learning experiences

    Person Specification

    The successful candidate will have:

      • A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or at least six months’ experience working with children in an educational setting
      • Excellent verbal communication skills
      • The ability to work effectively without direct supervision
      • Strong teamwork skills and a genuine commitment to contributing to the school community
      • Proactive approach to managing and responding to classroom needs
      • A passion for supporting and encouraging children’s learning and development
