Groundworks Gang (x3) - 20‑Week Project

Start: First week of February Duration: 20 weeks

Role Overview

A three‑person groundworks gang is required for drainage remedial works on a deep excavation project, 5 metres The team will be responsible for carrying out repairs, replacements, and associated civils tasks within a confined‑space environment.

️ Required Competencies & Tickets between the gang

  • CPCS/NPORS 360 Excavator Operator

  • CPCS/NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper Operator

  • SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) - at least one member

  • Confined Spaces Certification - valid and in date

  • Proven experience working on deep drainage (up to 5m)

  • Strong understanding of temporary works, shoring, and safe excavation practices

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out drainage remedial works at depths up to 5 metres

  • Operate 360 excavator and dumper safely and efficiently

  • Manage confined‑space entry procedures and permit systems

  • Install, repair, or replace drainage infrastructure

  • Maintain safe working practices and comply with site safety requirements

  • Coordinate with site management and other trades

  • Ensure quality of workmanship and timely progress

✔️ Additional Notes

  • Gang must be fully equipped with relevant PPE

  • Experience on similar deep‑dig drainage projects is essential

  • Immediate confirmation required due to February start
