An opening has become available for a friendly and enthusiastic Ward Clerk to join our busy ward clerk team based at NSECH. You will be required to cover various wards which may include Maternity, Ambulatory Care or general surgery ward 1 or 15.

Although this post is based at NSECH, on occasions you may be asked to provide support on one of our other wards at another hospital. within the Trust
• To provide a reception service, acting as first point of contact on the telephone or face to face, for patients, visitors and other healthcare professionals.
• To facilitate good communication with other wards and departments involved in patient care or ward/departmental functioning.
• To input data regarding all admissions, transfers and discharges onto Patient Administration System.
• To provide an efficient administration and clerical service to unit staff, visitors and patients.
