£28,000-£40,000 base + uncapped commission

About the Role

We're looking for a driven, commercially minded Business Development Manager to join our growing team in Manchester. If you thrive on winning new business, building relationships, and turning opportunities into revenue, this is a role where you can genuinely accelerate your career and your earnings.

You'll be responsible for securing new client accounts across our core sectors, promoting our temporary, permanent, and contract recruitment solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

- Prospecting and qualifying new leads through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn activity, and networking

- Booking and attending client meetings to pitch tailored recruitment solutions

- Negotiating terms of business, markups, and payment terms

- Preparing proposals, service agreements, and delivering presentations

- Maintaining accurate CRM records and managing your sales pipeline

- Reporting weekly KPIs and forecasting revenue

- Working closely with delivery teams to ensure smooth onboarding and fulfilment

- Monitoring competitor activity and industry trends to identify new opportunities

Targets & Performance Expectations

- 20-25 new client meetings per month

- 20 new business proposals per month

- 8-10 new client terms signed per month

- 3-5 new client acquisitions (invoiced) per month

- £15,000-£20,000 monthly revenue from new business

- Proposal‑to‑win rate of 30%+

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 2 years' B2B sales experience (recruitment experience preferred)

- Strong negotiation and objection‑handling skills

- Confident communicator with a proactive, consultative approach

- Familiarity with the recruitment industry is desirable

- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Earning Potential & Commission

Your success is rewarded with a generous, uncapped commission structure:

- 5% on the first £10k revenue each month

- 10% on the next £10k

- 15% on revenue above £20k

- +2% accelerator for exceeding monthly new client acquisition targets by 20%

Top performers regularly exceed £60k-£80k OTE.
