An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join the cutting edge of Acute SLT care at The Royal London Hospital.

This unique post offers the opportunity to rotate across:
• Royal London Hospital Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) and Stroke Rehabilitation Unit
• Neurology and Neurosurgery wards
• General Medical & Surgical wards

You will deliver expert, patient-centred speech and language therapy to adult patients in a fast paced acute setting.

The post holder will be a Speech & Language Therapist for acute inpatient services at the Royal London Hospital. The post holder will be part of a team providing specialist assessment and treatment to adults in the acute setting with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties. The post holder will be required to provide input along the various clinical pathways in the acute settings including neurosciences, health care of the elderly, general medicine, respiratory, trauma and Stroke Medicine. The post holder will work as part of the acute SLT team and wider MDT and will be supported and supervised by a Specialist SLT as well as the Clinical Lead SLT.

This post is rotational through the following areas:

o General Medicine & Surgery

o Neurology and Neurosurgery

o Stroke
