About the RoleAre you passionate about delivering exceptional service and leading a team to success? Mitie is seeking a Senior Lobby Ambassador to own our lobby spaces, manage visitor and contractor access, and act as a brand ambassador for our standards. You'll coordinate and lead the Lobby Ambassadors on shift, support site leadership, and deliver a 5-star concierge-style service that exceeds expectations for all building users.
Key Responsibilities
-Lead, motivate, and coordinate the Lobby Ambassador team, ensuring high standards and a positive working environment.
-Manage shift rotas, handle last-minute changes, and support recruitment, training, and development of team members.
-Champion diversity, inclusion, and continual development within the team.
-Recognise and celebrate individual and team achievements, utilising available recognition and reward schemes.
-Deputise for your Manager or Supervisor as required, and represent Mitie at internal and client meetings.
-Manage access and egress for all visitors and contractors, ensuring compliance with defined processes.
-Be highly visible and approachable—the “go to” person for queries in the lobby.
-Deliver a professional, friendly, and attentive experience at all times.
-Proactively manage queues and make arrival/departure efficient.
-Greet and acknowledge all visitors and colleagues, ensuring exceptional service.
-Support onsite facilities inspections, floor walks, and service audits.
-Handle administrative tasks, ad hoc reporting, and manage stocks of visitor passes.
-Provide first-line response to AV queries and support meeting room setups.
-Liaise with client Communities and Workplace Experience colleagues to deliver initiatives and activities.
-Support the Security team and respond to incidents as needed.
Person Specification
-1-2 years' experience in high-end hotels, members clubs, airlines, corporate workplaces, or hospitality/tourism.
-Demonstrable experience in team leadership, coordination, or supervisory roles.
-Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
-Immaculate grooming, personal presentation, and sense of style.
-Comfortable with wearable and mobile tech (radios, headsets, tablets).
-Highly proficient in Outlook, Word, Teams, and Chrome.
-Competent with visitor and space management tools (e.g., Condeco, ProxyClick).
-Core skills: accountability, organisation, prioritisation, initiative, customer engagement, adaptability, attention to detail.
