Neway International are seeking experienced Social Workers (L3/Qualified) to join our client, Conwy County Borough Council, within the Adult Mental Wellness Team.
Location: Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay
Hours: 37 per week, Monday–Friday
Contract: Temporary – 12 weeks, with potential extension
Rate: PAYE £20.48 per hour / Ltd/Umbrella £26.72 per hour

The Adult Mental Wellness Team delivers high‑quality social work interventions to individuals experiencing prolonged social stressors, mental health challenges, and reduced daily functioning.
The Role
The Social Worker will support the delivery of a high‑quality social work service to adults who are vulnerable or experiencing significant social and emotional stress. You will work closely with individuals, carers, and families to build resilience, promote independence, and ensure person‑centred decision‑making.
The role also involves developing strong links with third‑sector organisations to ensure proportionate, effective responses and holistic support for service users.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering high‑quality social work interventions to vulnerable adults.
Working with individuals, carers, and families to promote independence and resilience.
Ensuring service users remain central to all decision‑making and outcome planning.
Building strong partnerships with third‑sector organisations.
Applying knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 in practice.
Maintaining accurate case records and adhering to statutory requirements.
Working collaboratively within the Adult Mental Wellness Team.
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Social Worker (minimum 3 years post‑qualified).
Registered with Social Care Wales.
Experience working with vulnerable adults aged 18+.
Knowledge and experience of the Mental Health Act 1983.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Confident using technology and social care systems.
Must live locally or within a commutable distance to Conwy County.
Office‑based role at Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay.
