About the role
We are looking for a proactive and positive Gas Supervisor who can lead team of Gas Engineers in both a supervisory role and an operational role. You will be responsible for managing performance, quality, and health and safety compliance, and acting as the technical expert for gas operations. The role is predominantly supervisory but will also require being hands on to complete technical work during busy times and for complex cases.
As Gas Supervisor you will be responsible for the safe and compliant delivery of all gas-related services including domestic gas servicing, repairs, installations, and emergency response. The role ensures that all works meet statutory requirements, industry standards, and organisational policies, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Reporting to our M&E Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day delivery of our services, and you will contribute to the commercial viability of our work, whilst ensuring service demands and quality assurance are always met.
About you
You should hold an ACS qualification in core domestic gas modules along with previous experience supervising Gas Engineers, ideally in a social housing environment. As Gas Supervisor you will need a strong knowledge of gas safety legislation and compliance requirements.
You will be a role model for your people and be able to motivate and develop a high performing team. This is a demanding and challenging role, and you should enjoy working effectively under your own initiative and managing a busy workload, whilst also being a team player. You will be required to join the on-call manager rota (1 in 12 weeks) to support our out-of-hours service for emergency repairs. You will receive a standby allowance and on call payments for this.
