Neway International are seeking a Housing Liaison Officer to join our client based with the London Borough of Haringey.
Hours: 36 per week
Contract: Temporary – until 1 May 2026
Start Date: 25 January 2026
Rate: PAYE £18.11 per hour / Ltd/Umbrella £23.58 per hour
About the Client
Haringey Council provides a wide range of housing services to support tenants, maintain safe neighbourhoods, and ensure high standards across its estates. The Housing Liaison Team plays a key role in delivering frontline tenancy management and resident engagement.
The Role
The Housing Liaison Officer will be part of a team delivering a high‑quality, consistent, and flexible service to tenants. The role involves supporting new tenancies, managing tenancy changes, interviewing service users, and handling general enquiries.
You will be a visible presence on estates, ensuring tenants feel supported, neighbourhoods remain clean and safe, and resident satisfaction is prioritised. This is a frontline role requiring strong communication skills, confidence engaging with residents, and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering a comprehensive tenancy management service to residents.
Supporting new tenancies and processing tenancy changes.
Interviewing service users and responding to general enquiries.
Maintaining a visible presence on estates and engaging with residents.
Ensuring neighbourhoods are clean, safe, and well‑maintained.
Promoting high levels of resident satisfaction.
Working in line with council policies, procedures, and service standards.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience in a similar housing or tenancy management role.
Strong communication and engagement skills.
Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.
Confident working with residents in community settings.
Good organisational and problem‑solving skills.
DBS required.
