About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Sheffield. This role offers the chance to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and help them thrive academically and socially in an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
Assist teachers in planning and delivering differentiated lessons.
Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Encourage positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
Requirements
Previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience preferred).
Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain patient and adaptable in challenging situations.
Relevant qualifications (e.g. , Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable.
