Crynodeb
We work exclusively with a number of SEND schools within a Multi Academy Trust who require extra support with students who have been identified with Social, Emotional Behavioural or Mental Health issues (BESD, EBD, SEMH). We have a variety of short-term, long-term and permanent opportunities with our client schools across Nottingham.
Duties include:
- Working with small groups or on a one-to-one basis
- Support the class teacher in addressing the needs of the pupils
- Assist pupils who need particular help with behaviour management to overcome barriers to learning
- Help to develop and implement IEPs/EHCPs and behaviour management strategies
The ideal candidate will be:
- Have an understanding of needs including BESD, EBD, SEMH and other SpLD
- Be patient, resilient and empathetic to students' individual needs
- Experience of working with children and young adults as either a Youth Worker, a Sports Coach or within an education setting would be advantageous
- An up-to-date DBS that is on the DBS Update Service (or be willing to undertake a new one)
- Proof of Safeguarding at a minimum of Level 1 (or be willing to undergo online training)
