Neway International are seeking a Community Safety Coordinator to join our client based with Bromley Council.
Location: Churchill Court, 2 Westmoreland Road, Bromley, Kent, BR1 1AS
Hours: 36 per week
Contract: Temporary – 12 weeks (likely to be extended)
Start Date: 26 January 2026
Rate: PAYE £16.43 per hour / Ltd/Umbrella £21.33 per hour

About the Client
This role sits within the Environment & Public Protection directorate, supporting the Community Safety team. The service works closely with local partners, businesses, and external organisations to promote safer communities and deliver targeted safety initiatives across the borough.

The Role
The Community Safety Coordinator will support the delivery of a project focused on promoting safer retail practices under the Responsible Retailer Scheme. The role involves engaging with local businesses, coordinating with partners, and working alongside an external organisation to ensure the project is delivered effectively and within tight deadlines.

This is a hands-on coordination role requiring strong communication, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Supporting the Community Safety team in delivering the Responsible Retailer Scheme project.

Liaising with local businesses to promote safer retail practices.

Working closely with partner agencies and an external organisation to ensure project milestones are met.

Coordinating project activity to ensure timely and successful delivery.

Providing updates, information, and support to internal teams as required.
