Project Manager - NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor (Electrical)

About:
The Lead Qualifying Supervisor will act as the Qualifying Supervisor under the business NICEIC accreditation scheme. The Qualifying Supervisor & Testing Manager will ensure that electrical works undertaken by the company are carried out safely, compliantly, and in accordance with the requirements of the NICEIC, BS 7671, and industry statutory requirements. This role provides technical oversight, certification assurance and competency management across all business sectors and activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Lead NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor, maintaining company accreditation and acting as the primary NICEIC liaison.
- Prepare for, host, and manage NICEIC audits, ensuring full compliance with scheme rules.
- Review and sign off electrical certification (EICs, EICRs) and maintain certification records.
- Provide technical and compliance oversight to ensure works comply with BS 7671 and statutory requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, witness testing, and maintain electrical quality standards across all projects.
- Ensure LV systems are safe for energisation through robust inspection and testing.
- Maintain calibration schedules for electrical test equipment.
- Support external accreditations, including managing additional QSs and maintaining ECA Technical Certification.
- Provide guidance on statutory and industry regulations, including BS 7671, EAWR, Building Regulations, and ESQCR.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and certification of specialist systems (PV, EV, EEES).
- Ensure accurate as-built documentation and record keeping for audit and compliance.
- Define and assess competence requirements, mentoring operatives, apprentices, and future QSs.
- Promote safe systems of work, including RAMS and LOTO, and support incident investigations.
- Maintain CPD and workforce awareness of regulatory updates.
- Undertake additional duties as required by the Technical Director.

Requirements:
- 18th Edition (BS 7671)
- AM2 / AM2S
- Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation
- Proven experience in a senior NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor role within building services, construction, or engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of NICEIC scheme requirements, electrical certification, and relevant legislation, standards, and best practice.
- Sound understanding of electrical protection systems and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing external approving bodies and accreditations, including successful annual audits.
- Proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.
- SSSTS (Desirable)
