Crynodeb

Care to Connect is a support project for unpaid carers aged 25+ in Lochaber, hosted by Voluntary Action Lochaber. The project provides outreach and a drop-in support to help reduce isolation, combat loneliness, burnout and depression, and improve wellbeing.

Role Purpose: To assist and support the Project Coordinator in the delivery of the Care to Connect project outcomes by supporting unpaid carers with help, information and advice, signposting, engagement activities and social connection.

Location Office-based: Office base and drop-in centre at An Drochaid, Claggan, Fort William with outreach work across Lochaber.

Driving: A full clean driving license and access to a vehicle is required to meet the responsibilities of this post. Travel expenses will be paid.

Disclosure: This is regulated work and will require a PVG.

Staff Structure:

· This post is line managed by the Project Co-Ordinator

· Project support is provided by Voluntary Action Lochaber’s Senior Development Officer

· The role involves collaboration with the wider team at Voluntary Action Lochaber

· The role also involves collaboration with NHS Highland Carer Development team
