What skills and experience we're looking for
Jacksdale Primary & Nursery School is seeking to appoint a high-quality, motivated teacher to join our team on a full-time, temporary basis The successful candidate will be teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 4 – single form entry) from Easter 2026. Due to current fluctuations in pupil numbers, the school is unable to offer a permanent contract at this time and the position is therefore being advertised on a temporary basis. However, should pupil numbers stabilise or increase, there may be the opportunity for the contract to be extended for a further year or become permanent, subject to school roll projections.

• Has a secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum
• Delivers high-quality teaching that engages, motivates and meets the needs of all learners
• Places children at the centre of their practice and builds strong, positive relationships
• Has high expectations for achievement, behaviour and attitudes to learning
• Believes that learning should be enjoyable, purposeful and ambitious
• Is committed to inclusive practice and meeting the needs of all pupils
• Has strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills
• Is willing to contribute positively to the wider life of the school
• Has experience of leading or supporting a subject area (an interest in Music, RE or Science would be advantageous)
