What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a real difference in the classroom? This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining high-quality learning across our academy.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will work closely with senior teaching staff and within an agreed system of supervision to deliver engaging lessons and targeted interventions. You’ll help ensure continuity of learning by supervising whole classes during teacher absence and providing bespoke support to individual students and small groups.
What you’ll do:

• Provide tailored one-to-one and small group interventions to help students thrive.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive learning environment where every student can reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with colleagues and embrace opportunities for professional development.
• Champion our academy vision of “Everyone Exceptional” and help bring it to life every day.
This role is perfect for someone who is adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed to helping students succeed. You’ll gain valuable classroom experience and be part of a dedicated team that puts learners first.
The Cover Supervisor role offers valuable classroom experience and the opportunity to work across a range of subjects, supporting learning continuity and student engagement. However, because this position does not involve a fixed timetable or subject-specific teaching, it does not meet the requirements for completing the Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction. If you are seeking a role that supports ECT completion, we recommend applying for a teaching position within your subject area.
