About the role
Post Title: Area Facilities Officer
Team: Facilities Management
We are on the lookout for a proactive and passionate Facilities Officer to join our dynamic FM team
In this hands-on role, you’ll be at the heart of building compliance, maintenance coordination, and facilities operationsensuring our sites are safe, efficient, and fully functional. From managing contractors to conducting inspections, your work will directly impact the wellbeing of our teams and the performance of our buildings.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee day-to-day facilities operations across multiple sites
Ensure full compliance with health & safety and statutory building regulations
Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance
Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives
Be a key player in creating safe, productive environments
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in FM or building compliance
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A problem-solver with a hands-on approach
- Passion for making buildings work better for people

The Key responsibilities for the role are outlined in the attached Job Specification alongside the key requirements criteria.
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
Flexi scheme is in operation, working hours are 9-5 based in Bury Town Hall.
