The Role – Graduate Trainee Maths Teacher
As a Graduate Trainee Maths Teacher, you will train full-time in a mainstream secondary school while earning a salary. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, you will:
• Teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, with progression opportunities.
• Gradually increase teaching responsibility within a structured training framework.
• Receive weekly professional training focused on practical classroom pedagogy.
• Develop strong behaviour management and curriculum delivery skills.
• Work closely with experienced Maths teachers and senior leaders.
• Achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) within one academic year.

Ideal Candidate
• A 2:1 or above in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a closely related subject.
• Alternatively, a 2:1 or above in any discipline with A or A* in A-Level Maths.
• GCSE Maths and English (or recognised equivalency).
• Strong subject knowledge and confidence in Mathematics.
• A genuine commitment to working with young people and improving outcomes.
• Professional, resilient, and motivated to succeed in teaching.
• Right to work in the UK.
