Crynodeb
We are currently recruiting for a Female Security Supervisor
42 hours per week
12 hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off basis working days, nights and weekends
0600-1800 / 1800-0600
£13.42 with pay rise pending
CTC and DBS checks required for all potential candidates.
Your Time at Work
Security & operational responsibilities
Supervise and lead security officers during shifts, allocating duties and ensuring tasks are carried out correctly
Manage daily operations including staff deployment, break cover, sickness, and shift handovers
Ensure compliance with airport security regulations, G4S policies, and relevant legislation
Monitor and oversee security systems such as CCTV and access control
Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security breaches in a calm and professional manner
Ensure all security activities meet the required service level and client expectations
Administration & reporting
Complete accurate incident reports, daily logs, and operational documentation
Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and risk assessments are followed
Record and escalate any operational issues or concerns to management
Maintain clear communication during shift briefings and handovers
Team leadership & support
Provide guidance and support to security officers on shift
Monitor staff performance and address conduct or presentation issues
Identify training needs and support ongoing development
Carry out welfare checks and ensure staff follow uniform and behaviour standards
Client & stakeholder communication
Act as a key point of contact for airport management and other stakeholders
Liaise with emergency services when required
Support audits, inspections, and compliance checks
Other duties include
- Bag searches
- Body searches when required on female passengers
- Plane guarding
- Aircraft searches in accordance with DfT/CAA regulations
- Local operating procedures.
Our Perfect Worker
To be considered for employment with G4S in this role you must be able to meet the following minimum requirements:
- Unrestricted right to work full time in the UK for a minimum period of 12 months.
- Must be a UK resident for the last 5 years.
- Be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Good customer service/communicating skills.
- Must be able to pass the CRC check.
- Must be able to pass all required training.
- Have a five year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self- employment or full and part time education during that period.
- Physical requirements include being able to be on their feet for extended periods of time, plus being able to work in outdoor weather environments.
