1. Leadership & Management
Manage day-to-day operations of the care service
Lead, motivate, and supervise care staff
Ensure safe staffing levels and effective rota management
Conduct regular staff meetings, supervisions, and appraisals
2. Care Quality & Compliance
Ensure care delivery meets CQC standards and regulatory requirements
Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and reviews
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
Prepare for and lead CQC inspections
3. Person-Centred Care
Ensure individuals receive high-quality, tailored care
Carry out initial assessments and regular reviews
Respond promptly to concerns, complaints, or safeguarding issues
Staff Recruitment & Training
4. Recruit, induct, and train new staff
Ensure all staff complete mandatory training
Monitor performance and manage disciplinary processes where required
5. Safeguarding & Health & Safety
Act as safeguarding lead and ensure policies are followed
Ensure health and safety procedures are implemented
Manage incidents, accidents, and investigations
6. Communication & Partnership Working
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
Maintain positive relationships with local authorities and commissioners
7. Financial & Administrative Duties
Manage budgets and resources effectively
Oversee payroll inputs, invoicing, and care hours
Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies
8. Skills & Experience Required
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards)
Previous management experience in health or social care
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and care standards

Reports to: Registered Provider / Director
Responsible for: Care staff and service delivery
